Job Description

Dresden Elementary School is seeking a dynamic school counselor to join our team.  The successful candidate will provide academic, social, and emotional support to our learners.  The counselor works closely with the school principal, teachers, staff, and parents/guardians and is an integral member of the Multi-tiered Systems of Support Team. 

Dresden Elementary School is a vibrant PreK-5 learning community serving approximately 73 students. Our small size allows us to provide individualized attention and create a close-knit environment where every child and teacher is known and valued.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in school counseling or related field required
• Hold (or be eligible to hold) Maine 075 certification
• Hold current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and be adaptable to a dynamic school environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
• A passion for working with elementary school students and supporting their growth
