SUMMARY:

Ferche Millwork, a division of the Hoffmann Family of Companies and a national leader in hardwood product manufacturing, is seeking to add an Accounting Clerk to its accounting department staff at the Rice, MN headquarters.

The Accounting Clerk is an integral part of day-to-day accounting operations, managing and monitoring financial activities, as well as assisting with month-end close and other accounting functions as needed.

The right candidate will be motivated to provide immediate support and value to the team and build a deep understanding of our company and culture.

This position is on-site at our Rice, MN headquarters and reports to the controller.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable:

·        Monitoring accounting email inbox

·        Process accounts payable invoices

·        Facilitate weekly payments via ACH and check

·        Post daily EFT payment withdrawals

·        Maintains weekly contract labor calculations

Accounts Receivable:

·        Posts daily cash receipts

·        Upload daily remote deposit to the bank

·        Process customer freight billing

·        Assist with customer credit reference.

Other:

·        Month-end accounts payable accruals

·        Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

·        Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP)

·        Knowledge in the use of Office 365Products, with a high level of proficiency in Excel.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills

·        Strong attention to details  

·        Experience in ERP software

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2-5 years of accounting experience; OR a minimum of an Associate Degree in accounting or related field.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
