Certified Sr. Agile SCRUM Master
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master supporting planned application development projects. This role requires strong facilitation, coaching, and servant-leadership skills to ensure Scrum teams operate efficiently and consistently. The Agile Scrum Master will work closely with product owners, development teams, stakeholders, and IT leadership to promote transparency, foster collaboration, and remove impediments impacting team performance. Given the complexity and diversity of systems across the organization this position demands adaptability and a solid understanding of Agile principles within varied technical environments. Success in this role will require proactive coordination, continuous improvement, and disciplined application of Agile frameworks to help teams manage risk, meet delivery commitments, and align solutions with organizational objectives.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

| 12 | Required | Demonstrated expertise in Scrum and Kanban with the ability to coach teams on Agile principles and implementation. |
| 12 | Required | Proven ability to facilitate all Scrum ceremonies across multiple teams or large projects. |
| 12 | Required | Experience working with product owners, technical leads, senior IT stakeholders, and external vendors. |
| 12 | Required | Skilled in tracking and applying team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-downs) to drive continuous delivery improvements. |
| 8 | Required | Skill in fostering a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-trust team environment. |
| 12 | Required | Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear guidance, reports, and/or documentation. |
| 10 | Required | Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence or similar platforms. |
| 10 | Required | Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent. |
| 5 | Preferred | Experience working in public-sector IT projects, particularly those involving large-scale public facing systems. |
| 5 | Preferred | Experience coaching Product Owners on Agile roles and responsibilities |
