Job Description

We’re seeking a knowledgeable and reliable college-level tutor to support a CSULB freshman in English Composition and introductory Chemistry primarily as well as assist in Ethnic Studies as needed. The ideal tutor can help with writing assignments, reading comprehension, critical analysis, and foundational chemistry concepts. This is a great opportunity for graduate students, advanced undergraduates, former TAs, or experienced tutors who enjoy supporting college students as they transition into higher-level academic work. Responsibilities * Provide one-on-one, in-person tutoring for a college freshman on campus * Support student in assignments and concepts * Help the student build effective study habits, organization, and confidence * Adjust instruction based on course expectations and professor guidelines * Communicate progress via session reports Qualifications * Strong background in English Composition and introductory Chemistry (college level)

• Ability to also assist in Ethnic Studies preferred
