We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data integration solutions within a healthcare-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Informatica and Snowflake , with a solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and healthcare data standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into Snowflake .
Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and views in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
Ensure data handling and storage comply with HIPAA , HITECH , and organizational privacy/security standards.
Implement and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and quality processes to deliver consistent, reliable datasets.
Support interoperability and data exchange initiatives using standards such as HL7 , FHIR , and X12 EDI .
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Maintain documentation for data flows, metadata, and transformation logic.
Support data governance, access control, and security within Snowflake and Informatica .
Participate in testing, deployment, and release management for new workflows and enhancements.
3–5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development .
Hands-on experience with:
Snowflake Cloud Data Platform (SQL development, data modeling).
Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for ETL/ELT design.
Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Experience integrating structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, CSV).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and storage systems (e.g., S3, Blob Storage).
Understanding of data governance , data quality , and metadata management principles.
Experience using Python for automation and scripting.
Exposure to Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) or Data Catalog tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Git , and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems , Data Engineering , Health Informatics , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Snowflake or Informatica certifications are a plus.
