Job Title: Electronics TechnicianJob Description We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join our team in Goleta, CA. This role involves performing technical functions to support development engineering activities, including setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems. Applications may include analog, digital, and video type circuits and logic systems. The Electronics Technician will conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data, diagnose and correct electronic circuitry malfunctions, and assist in the development of electronic equipment. There is a possibility of up to 10% travel based on program needs. Responsibilities + Perform technical functions related to setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, and calibration of electronic systems. + Troubleshoot electronic or electro-mechanical systems and diagnose electronic circuitry malfunctions. + Assist in the development of electronic equipment and provide design details. + Recommend modifications to engineering designs as needed. + Conduct engineering and development tests and detailed experimental testing. + Prepare instructional guides for repairing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment and systems. Essential Skills + Proficiency in electronics, electrical systems, soldering, and harnessing. + Ability to work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures. + Expertise in operating electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment. + Circuit testing and use of test equipment. + Troubleshooting and schematic interpretation. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Harnessing/Crimping certification to J or NASA-Standards. + Proficiency with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools. + Expertise in working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other chemicals used in manufacturing. + Ability to take direction from multiple sources and manage time effectively to meet daily milestones and long-term project commitments. Work Environment The work environment includes a cleanroom setting. The company is a leading developer and provider of solar array systems to the global space market, with key products including Roll Out and Rigid Solar Arrays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
