ATSS has a client in Pascagoula, MS looking for First Class Pipe Welders.
Pay Rate: $29 an hour
Schedule: 40 ST and 8 OT hours w/ optional weekends for OT
GENERAL FUNCTION: The pipewelder welds together piping metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders or oral instructions. The pipewelder utilizes knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials including the specifications of the particular equipment to be used in the process.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities: Weld up prefabricated piping components using various welding procedures as outlined in blueprints or specifications. Chips off excess weld, slag and splatter using a power grinder, chipping gun or manual hammer. DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of pipe welding procedures and safety requirements. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Prior pipewelding experience is preferred but vocational training is acceptable.
