Leadoff Studio is an award-winning Graphic and Industrial Design firm based in New York City, specializing in designing brands and products that improve health & wellness. 

We are looking for a passionate Graphic Design Intern to join our staff over the next few months. As an intern at Leadoff, you will get the opportunity to grow through guided learning and pitching in on real projects. This is a chance to work at a small creative studio where you can learn all facets of the design business, while also growing your portfolio and network. This job requires being on site in our Long Island City, NY (QUEENS!) based studio full-time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Recent grad or current student of a Graphic Design degree program (or similar) preferably in their 4th year.
• A portfolio demonstrating creativity and skill in creating and executing branding and visual identities that will live in the physical world (not just digitally). 
• Proficient in logo ideation and design, mockup creation, and typography execution and knowledge.
• Ability to take projects from concept through to final design execution.
• Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite programs, especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Ability to ideate and communicate through sketching.
• Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences.
• Above all, passionate about design and a desire to learn.

Some other things to note:

• This is a paid internship.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US and can commit to a minimum of 3 months.
• Applicants must be located in the New York Tri-State area, as you must be able to easily get to our studio based in Queens, NY (Long Island City near Court Square and Queensboro Plaza subway stops - E, M, G, 7, N, W lines).
