Job Description

Position Purpose:  

The Home Decor Team Lead is a home decor products expert who maintains and operates the home decor, nonfoods and health and beauty care departments, that includes ordering and displaying of the products merchandised in those departments. 

Responsibilities:  A Home Decor Team Lead is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.

A Home Decor Team Lead’s responsibilities include:

• Providing customers with home decor merchandise selling suggestions.
• Informing customers about the attributes and benefits of products displayed in health and beauty care (HBC) and nonfoods departments.
• Ordering, unloading, unpacking, and merchandising products merchandised in the home decor, nonfoods and HBC products on a variety of shelves, end caps and sales cases. 
• Writing seasonal product orders as well as seasonal sales recaps. 
• Transferring and receiving products to and from other departments and other stores.
• Following company and health department guidelines, in the HBC department rotating products according to their sale by dates. 
• Assuming responsibility for meeting department inventories, gross profit percent, product shrink and product inventory budgets.
• Attending regular home decor department meetings. 
• Following approved procedures for receiving, code dating, price marking and restocking products to ensure customer satisfaction, product quality, and pricing accuracy.
• All other related duties as assigned

Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending
