We are seeking a Lab Assistant to join their growing team!** **Location:** **Thousand Oaks, CA** **Schedule:** **Sunday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM** **Employment Type:** **Contract/Contingent Worker** **Pay: $18/hour** **Key Responsibilities:** + Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis. + Accurately scan and enter patient and specimen information into the system. + Ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly and perform minor maintenance as needed. + Troubleshoot specimen-related issues to ensure efficient processing. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all laboratory safety protocols. + Replenish supplies at workstations as necessary. + Complete and maintain accurate records, logs, and administrative documentation. + Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to uphold safety and quality standards. **Qualifications & Requirements:** + **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent required. + **Experience:** Prior experience in a laboratory or production environment is preferred. + **Technical Skills:** Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills. + **Attention to Detail:** Ability to accurately identify specimens and maintain precise records. + **Physical Requirements:** Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods; must pass a standardized color blindness test. + **Soft Skills:** Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced setting. + **Additional Requirements:** Hepatitis B titer testing required; vaccination provided if necessary. _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
