We are seeking a Modernization Chief Engineer to lead groundbreaking initiatives that drive innovation in the Department of Defense (DoD) Test and Evaluation Enterprise. As part of this role, you will oversee a range of modernization efforts, working closely with experts in Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, Agile DevSecOps, AI/ML, and cybersecurity. What You'll Do:
Lead a team dedicated to modernization, overseeing 22 key initiatives conducted by Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs).
Develop and implement policies, guidance, and strategies to advance engineering and test and evaluation practices.
Design technical solutions to address complex DoD challenges.
Build a collaborative community of practice across government agencies, industry, and academia.
Ensure alignment between Systems Engineering, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E), and Test Resource Management Center (TRMC).
Lead major technical projects using formal engineering methodologies and quality control processes.
Develop innovative approaches for analyzing engineering and testing strategies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
Manage and coordinate project teams to ensure success.
What We're Looking For:
Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline or related field.
Experience: 20+ years in engineering, test and evaluation, or a related field.
