Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Nashville Downtown Partnership’s Operations Project Manager provides oversite of both internal operations and vendor/contract operations, along with assisting in the development and implementation of strategies for cleaning and safety programs to enhance the downtown experience. This position is physically active in the downtown footprint, playing a key role in ensuring all clean & safe initiatives contribute to the vitality, sustainability, and positive activation of downtown Nashville. This position will help supervise, develop, and implement strategies for NDP’s cleaning, landscaping, and transportation programs to enhance the downtown experience. The position requires someone who is passionate about downtown Nashville, urban livability and vitality, and wants to transform the overall landscape in downtown. The ideal candidate is professional, committed, and a team player. We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker capable of developing and implementing creative solutions to existing and future problems.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•    General oversight and compliance management of internal operations team and vendor/contract partners related to the cleanliness and safety of the Central Business Improvement District (CBID)
•    Apply standard concepts, processes, practices, and policies to daily operations to complete objectives set by the Director of Operations
•    Cultivate relationships with key partners and build relationships with stakeholders and constituents including attending and presenting at internal and external meetings
•    Liaise between stakeholders and other entities including local government services and contactors to ensure service delivery needs are met
•    Maintain active physical presence in the CBID, proactively identifying issues and implementing strategies to prevent repetition
•    Keep current on industry trends, opportunities, and methodology, soliciting new equipment and sourcing new vendors as needed
•    Develop and report clean & safe program statistics, forecasts, and reports
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or Business; skills and experience may substitute if appropriate
•    Minimum 5 years of professional experience
•    Demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple simultaneous projects successfully
•    Ability to communicate with a diverse audience including board members, staff, downtown employees, and community and business leaders
•    Ability to be a thoughtful and collaborative colleague
•    Ability and desire to take initiative
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
•    Strong computer skills
•    Strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require the ability to lift objects of at least 50 pounds in weight. Job duties require approximately 50% sitting/typing and 50% standing/walking. Physical requirements will vary depending upon the specific duties to be accomplished.
HOURS & LOCATION: This full-time position requires regular business hours as well as occasional nights/weekends for special events.
