Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in visual safety systems for commercial fleet vehicles, is seeking a Powder Coating Operator to join their team. As a Powder Coating Operator, you will be part of the Production Paint Line department supporting the manufacturing and finishing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to safety and quality standards, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Powder Coating Operator **Location:** Jamaica, NY **Pay Range:** $16.50- $18.00 **Shift:** 1st shift 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (Mon-Fri) 2nd shift 2:30 PM-11:00 PM (Mon-Fri) **What's the Job?** + Prepare parts and materials for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and hanging them on racks or hooks. + Operate spray guns to apply powder coatings uniformly to surfaces, ensuring proper thickness and coverage. + Perform surface pre-treatment processes such as washing, sandblasting, or chemical cleaning to ensure surfaces are ready for coating. + Inspect coated parts for proper coverage, thickness, adhesion, and finish, using tools such as mil gauges and visual inspection. + Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, spray booths, and ovens, troubleshooting issues as needed to ensure smooth production. **What's Needed?** + High school diploma or equivalent (required). + 1-3 years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting (preferred). + Knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment. + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the coating process or equipment. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise quality standards. **What's in it for me?** + Full-time hours + Overtime hours available + Temp to perm opportunity. + Opportunity to grow within a reputable organization committed to employee development. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
