Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Merced, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting procurement operations and ensuring smooth collaboration with vendors and internal teams. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Purchasing Director, including managing schedules and coordinating tasks. - Communicate with vendors to gather necessary information, request documentation, and assist with supply chain activities. - Prepare and review contract drafts using established templates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. - Follow and implement defined procurement processes and procedures with a high level of precision. - Track and meet deadlines for various projects and deliverables while maintaining quality and compliance standards. - Maintain and organize procurement-related records, including contracts, vendor communications, and documentation. - Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and enhance overall procurement efficiency.
