Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (extendable)
Shift: Days, 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Compensation: $2,252/week (gross)
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity, fast-paced birthing unit. This role requires strong clinical expertise in obstetric care, fetal monitoring, and emergency response in a collaborative team environment.
Unit HighlightsUnit Size: 19-bed L&D Unit
Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 2:1, depending on acuity
Patient Acuity: High acuity patient population
EMR: Epic
Scrubs: Galaxy Blue and/or White
Provide comprehensive care to obstetric patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Monitor fetal and maternal well-being, responding promptly to changes.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members.
Educate and support patients and families regarding procedures and newborn care.
Ensure compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practice.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience (travel experience required).
Certifications (Required): AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
Preferred: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring and/or EFM certification.
Education: Degree from an accredited nursing program (or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree accreditation).
Other: Must be able to manage high-acuity patients; call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week schedule.
