Our client, a leading utility firm headquartered in Westchester County, NY , is leveraging SAP ERP, Business Warehouse, Enterprise Portal, and Business Objects systems as part of its enterprise operations. These SAP systems integrate with multiple business-critical applications such as Maximo, Kyriba, and SuccessFactors , as well as SaaS-based solutions like Concur, Blackline, Ariba, and SuccessFactors .
The client seeks a SAP FICO Consultant to support and enhance financial processes, manage ongoing system improvements, and deliver efficient SAP Finance and Controlling solutions in alignment with evolving business requirements.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:Provide functional and technical expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
Lead or support configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP FICO solutions to meet business needs.
Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze, define, and document requirements related to finance and controlling processes.
Integrate SAP FICO modules with other functional areas such as MM, SD, HR, and PM .
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Handle enhancement requests , resolve production issues, and ensure smooth operation of SAP FICO systems.
Design and execute functional specifications for RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
Collaborate with technical (ABAP) and functional teams to support integration and data consistency across systems.
Stay up to date with emerging SAP technologies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation and support.
Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Cost Center Accounting (CCA) .
Experience in integration points between FICO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HR).
Hands-on experience in SAP configuration, functional testing, and user training .
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance functionalities is highly desirable.
Exposure to IDOC, EDI , and interface management processes.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field .
SAP FICO certification preferred.
SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is a plus.
