Job Description

Currently seeking a Senior  Acquisitions Lead to support the Navy Customer long term in  Crystal City (this is a 100% onsite position). You will be joining forces with a 30+ year seasoned government contractor, highly specialized within the Navy Acquisitions Space! Prior Navy experience not required, but some DOD background is great! 

Security Clearance : Secret level clearance welcome, but not necessarily required. We can assist in sponsoring one for you,  if you don't have an active clearance already. (US Citizenship is however required, at a minimum).

About The Position:

• Lead a small but dedicated team of 5+ acquisitions specialists. 
• Advise and provide valued input, feedback and recommendations as an SME within the general Acquisitions space.
• Develop and review acquisition related documents such as Request for Proposals, Requests for Information, Acquisition Strategies, etc.
• Develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to track and achieve specific critical acquisition milestones, such as Milestone B, Technical Readiness Reviews and Systems Requirements Reviews.
• Conduct in-depth research as needed regarding document requirements to meet these major milestones.
• Develop PRs and Contract Data Requirement Lists, as well as work within the Standard Procurement System (SPS).
• Review Proposal data received from existing vendors, as well as potential vendors (not for source selection process).
• Develop presentations and reports and be able to clearly and effectively speak to status updates, milestones, deadlines, etc. to a varying audience of senior government and contracting personnel. 

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of overall related acquisitions experience (some experience must be within the general DOD space however direct Navy experience is NOT required, we will train!)
• Prior experience leading and directing a small team
• Completed Bachelors Degree
• US Citizen (clearable for the Secret level security clearance)
