Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator onsite in Norfolk, VA to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with responsibility for managing your own contracts and supporting multiple millions of dollars of proposal activity.
This role involves interfacing with all levels of management and functions (Program Office, Finance, Operations, Quality, etc.) within BAE Systems as well as with our USN Customer.
As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will work with internal team members and our customers to shape and close business opportunities in concert with internal Norfolk Ship Repair objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently work on and provide guidance on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues in compliance with contract requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact with the team to gather, interpret, analyze, and develop recommended strategies and present information.
- Compliance with Company policies and procedures, legal, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Prepare, negotiate and manage complex proposals and contracts.
- Provide guidance to the Program and Operation teams on government and commercial contracting solutions.
- Cross functional collaboration with Program Management, Finance, Operations and Quality teams.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience OR equivalent education/experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with USG and Commercial Contracts
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse work teams
- FAR/DFAR knowledge and experience.
- Experience with agreements to support business development, program management and engineering development teams (ex. NDAs, teaming agreements, etc.).
- Experience dealing with the US Government and major maritime industry companies, as your customer.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to prepare letters, spreadsheets and presentations.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with the complex RFP's, and large proposal development.
- Experience with various USG agencies (especially the US Navy).
- Experience with export regulations
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $73778 - $125422
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
