As a Senior Salesforce Engineer within PNC's Retail Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will be part of a team who support our Retail Customer Care Center agents and Branch Bankers with the ability to assist customers leveraging Salesforce technology, enabling our employees to better assist PNC customers. Specific job duties may include the following: - Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and Visualforce pages. - Build Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and Aura components as needed. - Collaborate with admins, analysts, and other developers to deliver end-to-end solutions. - Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with external systems. - Write unit tests and perform thorough testing to ensure robust, high-quality code. - Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and documentation efforts. - Stay current with Salesforce best practices, releases, and new features. Due to the nature of the position, we are seeking the following qualifications: - Experience with Apex and the Salesforce platform. - Experience with Sales and Service Cloud - Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, Trigger Execution Order and governor limits. - Experience using Point and Click design instead of code as an option. - Proficient in writing clean, efficient, and reusable code. - Experience with Salesforce integrations (REST, SOAP APIs). - Solid understanding of Flow, Lightning Experience and Lightning Web Components. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification(s). - Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices in Salesforce. - Experience with managed packages or AppExchange apps. - Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and UI development.
