Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shift Manager to join our team on second shift. The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the convenience store during their designated shifts. This individual will play a key role in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, managing inventory, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of store employees during assigned shifts.
• Ensure that all customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and cleaning equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for merchandise as needed.
• Train and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold store policies and procedures.
• Handle cash transactions and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
• Prepare daily sales reports and communicate any issues or discrepancies to management.
• Enforce store policies regarding safety, security, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with management to implement strategies for increasing sales and improving store efficiency.

Physical Demands:

·Constantly standing, walking, reaching with hands & arms, using hands and fingers to handle & feel, and talking & hearing. Constantly lifting or exerting force up to five (5) pounds.

·Frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting & bending, tasting & smelling. Frequently lifting or exerting force up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

·Occasionally pushing, pulling, climbing, sitting and lifting. Occasionally lifting or exerting force up to fifty (50) pounds.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices is a plus.
