Job summary
You'll own implementation, configuration, and partner onboarding for EDI (ANSI X12) exchanges supporting healthcare claims and membership (837, 834, 999, 277). Work with trading partners, SQL Server DBAs, and the Implementation team to map, test, monitor, and improve EDI flows in a HIPAA environment.
What you'll do
Lead EDI implementations with trading partners (mapping, routing rules, testing, certification).
Build and maintain ANSI-X12 maps (inbound/outbound) and EDI translation logic.
Diagnose, monitor, and correct production EDI file flows; lead root-cause analysis.
Create/maintain SQL Server objects (stored procedures, functions, views, triggers) that support EDI processes.
Author clear implementation docs, test plans, and end-user training; drive standard work and automation opportunities.
Partner with application, DB and vendor teams to ensure EDI reliability and scalability.
Must-have
5+ years hands-on EDI experience (ANSI X12; 837, 834, 999, 277).
2+ years SQL Server Management Studio + strong T-SQL development experience.
Prior work in HIPAA compliance environments (healthcare EDI).
Experience with EDI translators and data translation tools, and with trading-partner onboarding.
Excellent written & verbal communication - you'll document and lead partner tests.
Nice-to-have
ETL experience, prior implementation/project leadership, or healthcare adjudication system integrations.
Other details
Location: Atlanta HQ. Remote within the Eastern Time zone; occasional overlap with Atlanta hours required.
