Job Description

McLaren Health Care is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Medical Director of Radiology to lead our comprehensive diagnostic imaging services across our network of 13 acute care hospitals and ambulatory facilities. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Provides medical direction for radiology services of McLaren Health Care, emphasizing safety, quality, patient experience, access, stewardship, engagement, and growth.
2. Responsible for achievement of system operations and quality goals of the radiology service line.
3. Leads and inspires a culture of success, collaboration, teamwork, and dedication by all team members including physicians, APP’s, nurses, technicians, and all staff members.
4. Oversees all MMG employed radiologists, interventional radiologists, advanced practice providers and site medical directors of radiology, where applicable.
5. Participates in the development and implementation of evidence-based care processes and performance improvement initiatives.
6. Communicates and educates radiology division of MMG, and independent radiology physicians about system-wide initiatives.
7. In accordance with medical staff bylaws, partners with chief medical officers to address performance concerns for providers, including establishing specialty peer review and mentoring for radiology.
8. Works with administrative leadership to ensure regulatory and safety compliance in clinical activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

• M.D or D.O. with residency or fellowship training and Board Certification in Radiology.
• 5+ years of clinical experience with progressive leadership experience in Radiology.
• Previous experience leading a clinical department and/or initiatives at a large, complex, multisite health system or academic organization.
• Ability to travel across our markets throughout Michigan.
