Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Holiday shifts as needed
• Weekend requirement: 4-5 weekend shifts in a 4-week period as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios: 1:3 to 1:4 based on acuity
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH (American Heart Association only)
• PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Dress code: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal blue bottoms
• EPIC charting system
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, oxygen administration, and rapid response team utilization
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Weekend call-outs require makeup shifts within 7-10 days
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)

This Level I Trauma Center is a teaching facility and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The facility operates a 9E PCU RN Neuroscience unit within the main hospital, providing progressive care services for neurological patients. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and offers comprehensive specialty services with interdisciplinary support teams available.
