Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational functions of a rapidly growing landscape company. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the CEO to execute the company’s vision and business plan while managing day-to-day operations across multiple departments. This role is instrumental in ensuring the company achieves its growth objectives and operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the business plan, achieving or exceeding P&L targets.

  • Lead, manage, and hold the leadership team accountable for commitments.

  • Oversee the operational departments, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, HR, and Customer Service.

  • Own and manage the organizational scorecard, proactively identifying and addressing issues.

  • Standardize and systematize operations using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

  • Foster collaboration and alignment among leadership teams to ensure cohesive execution.

  • Manage and resolve issues effectively, maintaining a focus on the greater good of the business.

  • Ensure company processes are followed consistently with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in service-driven industries.

  • Proven track record in startups or mid-sized companies with seasonality considerations.

  • Analytical mindset with strong data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams while staying involved in operational details when needed.

  • Experience in building and sustaining high-performing teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.

  • Highly organized and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in M&A and integrating companies under a unified structure.
