Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician (FSQA)

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

As an FSQA Technician at our Poughkeepsie facility, you’ll move from the receiving dock to the production floor to finished-goods staging, applying keen attention to detail to keep our food safe and our standards high.

A day in the role

Start by verifying incoming ingredients meet specifications. On the floor, you’ll sample work-in-progress, check measurements, and compare results to established criteria. As products are completed, you’ll confirm they meet release standards. Throughout the day, you’ll record findings clearly and share them with the right teammates so issues are resolved quickly and correctly. You’ll support internal and third‑party audits and contribute to the refinement and rollout of QA procedures.

What you will do

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods for conformance
• Document inspection outcomes accurately and communicate results to stakeholders
• Partner with production to address deviations and drive corrective actions
• Participate in internal and external audits related to food safety and quality
• Assist in creating, updating, and implementing QA procedures and SOPs

What you bring

• Hands-on experience performing quality inspections
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Background in manufacturing; food industry exposure preferred
• Working knowledge of food safety regulations and QA fundamentals
• Collaborative mindset and effectiveness on cross-functional teams
