Job Description

Registered Nurse – Medical Trauma Unit

  • Location: Richmond, VA
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Days (7:00am–7:00pm) or Nights (7:00pm–7:00am)
  • Compensation: $31.55–$45.07/hr (based on years of experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

A high-acuity medical trauma unit is seeking skilled and compassionate RNs to join its dynamic team. This 36-bed unit specializes in the care of patients experiencing cardiac, respiratory, renal, and complex trauma-related conditions. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care to trauma and medical patients with complex diagnoses

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and ECGs, identifying and responding to arrhythmias

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, cardiac teams, and multidisciplinary staff

  • Administer medications, evaluate treatment responses, and document accurately

  • Participate in patient/family education and discharge planning

  • Foster a culturally sensitive and inclusive care environment

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Virginia or Compact Multistate RN license required

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)

  • 1 year of recent acute care RN experience preferred

    • Will consider candidates with 6+ months of recent acute care or strong skilled nursing (LTAC) experience

  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
