As a Senior Fund Manager in the Department of Medicine, you will play a critical part in overseeing all aspects of pre- and post-award administration for research awards. In support of our Principal Investigators (PIs), you will analyze and devise effective solutions for a wide range of issues and challenges. You will handle complex proposals, including grants and contracts that involve task budgets, option years, multiple investigators, and numerous sub-awards. You will also be responsible for organizing, planning, establishing, and monitoring fiscal budget management for contracts, grants, gifts, endowments, and privately funded projects associated with faculty research programs. We'll look to you for expert guidance and counsel on intricate matters related to research administration, including compliance with regulations and standards. Annual range: $64,800-$137,600 Qualifications Required: + Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience + High School Diploma. + 5+ years of research administration experience. + Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with various stakeholders. + Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, to meet programmatic and financial need. + Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel + Strong writing skills in a variety of styles to draft persuasive text for a variety of audiences while ensuring adherence to funding sponsor's guidelines + Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures and techniques + Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting Preferred: + Organization skills to create and maintain administrative and financial files effectively + Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize job functions, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with multiple proposal submission systems + Experience preparing, managing, and projecting budgets + Mathematical skills for the preparation of complex calculations and forecasts and to identify and resolve complicated financial scenarios + Knowledge of and experience working with a variety of external sponsors, federal and state sponsors, private foundations, industry sponsors, etc UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each person's unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
