**Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing high-quality, innovative software solutions that align with Intuit's core values of integrity, customer obsession, courage, respect for each other, and innovation. Familiarity with GenAI is a plus. Our team is the newly formed Global Architecture Team, which operates within the Platform organization at Intuit. Our primary role is to serve other teams across the company by providing support and solutions. As part of the platform organization, we focus on the product development lifecycle (PDLC), aiming to deliver tools and systems that streamline and enhance development processes company-wide. As tech leads, we aim to drive innovation across various domains, ensuring high-quality implementations, broad impact, and alignment with organizational objectives. **Responsibilities** + Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications and solutions. + Designing/developing web, software, mobile apps, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POCs) + Hands-on coding. + Use your coding expertise to design and implement scalable, modular and secure services. + Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches + Contribute to the design and architecture of the project + Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results + Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems + Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies. **Qualifications** + 8+ years of experience designing and developing consumer-facing web applications as well as responsible for designing integration centric solutions with experience of modern API technologies + BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience. + Experience with React and JavaScript in a single page architecture, with hands-on knowledge on web technologies (Redux, React-Native) and related frameworks is a must. + Experience with Java, and web service (creating and consuming) with ReST or GraphQL API modeling. + Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD). + Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns. + Experience with Databases, NoSQL stores, Data Lake, Kafka, & schema modeling will be a plus. + Strong understanding of Software Design, Architecture and working with large scale systems. + Experience programming understanding of large language models (LLMs), and prompt engineering. + Key intermediate skills include designing systems with multi-step reasoning, using tool use and API orchestration, and implementing memory and context management. + Advanced skills involve Reinforcement Learning, system design, multi-agent frameworks, and ensuring AI ethics. + Knowledge of streaming frameworks, event-driven architecture is a plus + Solid foundation in writing scalable web application code following best practices of accessibility, internationalization and instrumentation. + Ability to understand and execute on paradigm of "Discover-Implement-Ship-Measure-Learn" + Solid communication skills Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area California $197,000.00 - 266,500.00 EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.
