**Job Title: SMT Operator** **Location:** San Jose, CA **Shift:** Day Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM **Job Type:** Contract to Hire **About the Role** We're seeking a skilled **SMT Operator** to join our team at a leading electronics manufacturing company. In this role, you'll be hands-on with printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, soldering, and system testing. If you have a sharp eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we want to hear from you! **Key Responsibilities** + Assemble systems manually using torque drivers and hardware + Perform load functions and back flush operations using computer systems + Solder components (resistors, transistors, transmitters) onto circuit boards + Conduct functional and Pass/Fail testing on completed systems + Pull required materials from flow racks + Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process **Required Skills & Experience** + Experience operating SMT machines + Proficient in soldering and reading blueprints + Knowledge of PCBA, surface mount technology, and electro-mechanical systems + Skilled in thru-hole soldering and general assembly + Experience testing electronic circuits **Additional Qualifications** + Comfortable standing for extended periods + Able to follow written instructions and handle small parts with precision + Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality **Why Join Us?** + Be part of a dynamic and innovative team + Opportunities for growth and skill development + Competitive compensation with potential for higher pay based on experience + Work in a collaborative environment where your contributions matter **Work Environment** + NDA required + Day shift with frequent overtime and Saturday work + Fast-paced, hands-on production floor **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
